(Ste. Genevieve, MO) The Valle Catholic Warriors forced 31 turnovers and allow just 18 total points after the first quarter via the strong defensive performance from top to bottom in Tuesday's victory over Crystal City.
The Hornets held a lead after the first quarter 13-9. The Warriors would quickley change things at the quarterbreak and outscore Crystal City 24-7 in the second. Warriors Head Coach, Tyler Search on the changes made between quarters that led to the turnaround.
In the final 16 minutes, Valle Catholic outscored Crystal City 30-11. Chase Fallert paced all shooters on either side with 14 points, Harry Oliver added 12 and Sam Drury tallied 10 points in the win. Coach Tyler Search on the defensive effort in the win.
Ian Kirk led Crystal City scorers with 9 points in the loss. The Hornets fall to 5-4 on the season and are at Valley Caledonia on Friday. Valle Catholic improves to 2-1 on the young season, they play Friday as well in Fredericktown.
