(Potosi, MO) The Farmington Knights used suffocating defense to stomp the Potosi Trojans attack enroute to a 52-7 victory.
The Trojans received the opening kick, and after two plays, were in the endzone after the 92 yard, designed quarterback keep by Luke Brabham. Potosi’s point-after sailed through the uprights for an early 7-0 lead.
However the Knights answered with 3 straight touchdowns to close out the first quarter. Farmington kept their foot on the gas and didn’t allow another Trojan score. The Knights were led offensively by their quarterback, Brett Drye who rushed for 144 yards on 10 carries, including 3 TDs. He also threw for 75 yards and was 8/11, which improved on his week one passing numbers of 3/8.
Kaesen McClain added two rushing touchdowns with 79 total yards, while Tatem Tinsley potted the final Farmington touchdown in the fourth quarter. Farmington’s head coach, Erik Kruppe says execution led to the victory.
After the loss, Potosi head coach, Dylan Wyrick says the Knights controlled all aspects of the game.
