(Farmington, MO) Josh Mapes will be joining Rusty Sancegraw's staff as an assistant coach at Farmington for the upcoming season. It was formally announced on Sunday afternoon by the Farmington School District.
Mapes resigned from his position as Head Coach of the Central Lady Rebels in April following the club's run to the Class 4 Final Four in March.
In 10 seasons with the Lady Rebels, Mapes compiled a 243-41 record and a 42-8 Conference Record. Central won 6 regular season conference titles, 7 MAAA Conference Tournament titles and 9 District Tournament Titles (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023). Mapes led the program to 2 Final Four appearances, finishing 3rd in 2023 and capturing the team's only State Championship in 2015.
Aaron Tyree will replace Mapes as Head Coach of the Central Lady Rebels.
