(Potosi, MO) The Potosi Trojans battled the St. Clair Bulldogs at Potosi High School, with both opening their season against each other for the seventh consecutive season.
Potosi marched the ball down the field on their opening drive, scoring a Noah Walton rushing touchdown after a five play, 65 yard drive, with all five of those plays being rushes.
St. Clair’s first drive was not as fruitful, as quarterback Nate Short threw a backwards pass in play, allowing Ean Eaton of Potosi to grab the fumble and return it the other way for another Potosi touchdown.
Potosi never let up after that, scoring touchdowns on all five of their possessions, all ending in rushing touchdowns by junior Noah Walton, who was the Little Caesar’s player of the game, with his 30 total points accounted for.
Lightning in the area would bring the game to a close with 9:09 in the third quarter.
Potosi ended up the victors, 41-14.
Potosi (1-0) travels to Salem in Week 2, while St. Clair (0-1) faces Farmington on KFMOsportsPLUS.
