Park Hills, Mo. (KFMO) - The Ste. Genevieve Dragons won its 5th straight match Thursday evening, knocking off the Central Lady Rebels in straight sets 25-12, 25-17, 25-18.
The Dragons (8-5-1) had only won one game in 3 sets this season, and hadn't won a first set since September 10th. However, on this particular night, Ste. Genevieve was able to get the jump on the Lady Rebels (6-8-1), who have now dropped 3 straight.
Ste. Genevieve senior Kailynn Harmon led all attackers with 9 kills, but fellow seniors Sophia Huck and Kale Clements also made a significant impact. Central senior Blair Sitton led Central with 7 kills.
Both teams play next on Monday. Ste. Genevieve hosts St. Vincent, while Central is at home against West County.
