St. Louis, Mo. (KFMO) – The St. Louis Blues clinched the final wild card spot in the Western Conference with the 6-1 win over Utah on Tuesday.
Jordan Kyrou scored twice for the Blues. Brayden Schenn and Jimmy Snuggerud each added a goal and assist, and Robert Thomas assisted on two goals in the win. Jordan Binnington made 22 saves in the win.
St. Louis (44-30-8) got to an early lead with four first period goals and never trailed.
The Blues clinched the final wild card spot and will play the Presidents’ Trophy winning Winnipeg Jets this weekend. The NHL has not announced dates or times for the games during the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, only that the first round will begin Saturday and Sunday.
