(San Francisco, CA) The St. Louis Cardinals wrapped up the 2024 season with a victory in the bay, 6-1 over the San Francisco Giants. Cardinals’ starter Michael McGreevy pitch through eight innings, allowing a run on five hits, while striking out six batters.
Brendan Donovan and Alec Burleson each had two hit games. Burleson added three RBI.
St. Louis ultimately won the series three games to two.
On Friday, a four run top of the fourth inning gave the Redbirds a lead. Ryan Helsley collected his 50th save of the season Friday setting a single season franchise record.
St. Louis wrapped up the season with an 83-79 record and tie for second place in the NL Central Division with the Chicago Cubs, missing the playoffs for the second straight season.
