Budget Won't Fund Medicaid Expansion

(Jefferson City, MO) The latest budget approved by Missouri legislators does not have a funding mechanism for the Medicaid expansion. The State Representative for the 144th District, Chris Dinkins, says legislators didn't like the way the expansion is set up since it could take Medicaid funding away from those who need it most.

Dinkins also says legislators have discussed methods of funding but so far nothing has been found that could get into the current budget before it's approved by Governor Mike Parson.
