(Iron County, MO) An Iron County family is dead after what's suspected to have been a problem with an alternative heating source. A press release from the Iron County Sheriff's Department shows at approximately 10:07 am Tuesday deputies received a report of four individuals unresponsive in a home at Lake Kilarney, in rural Iron County. Law enforcement, Fire, and EMS responded to the scene where they discovered three males, and one female deceased. The individuals were identified as 33 year old Steven Sikes, 31 year old Julie Crawford, and their two infant children ages 9 months. The release continues indicating Iron County Coroner, Tim Harbison, is conducting the investigation into their deaths, along with the Iron county Sheriff's Department. Initial findings show an alternative heat source in the living room of the home could have led to the deaths. Autopsies are scheduled to determine the exact cause of death. No foul play is suspected.
