Former Terre Du Lac Officer Sentenced

(Terre Du Lac, MO) A former Terre Du Lac Policeman, 39 year old Ignatius Damier, is now on probation after pleading guilty to one felony count, and one misdemeanor count, of endangering the welfare of a child. Reports show Damier, was sentenced to 5 years supervised probation for the felony charge and two years unsupervised probation for the misdemeanor. KFMO B104 news files show the charges stem from a September 2nd, 2019, incident in which Damier, allegedly struck a 3 year old child he was babysitting for his girlfriend causing bruises to her face and back. Damier had admitted to striking the child in the face after she allegedly talked back to him. He also has admitted to spanking the child.
