Highways Commission to Meet in Perryville

(Perryville, MO) The monthly meeting of the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission will be held Wednesday, November 1st, at the Perry Park Center, located at 800 City Park Lane in Perryville. Presentations dealing with Perryville and Perry County will be given by Perryville Mayor Larry Riney, City Administrator Brent Buerck, Perry County Presiding Commissioner Mike Sauer, and Crystal Jones the Executive Director of the Perry County Economic Development Authority. Drew Christian, Deputy Director of the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission, will also speak as well as Missouri Department of Transportation Southeast District Engineer Mark Croarkin. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and is open to the public and media.
                              The Commission is a six member bipartisan board that governs the Missouri Department of Transportation. Members are appointed for a six year term by the governor and are confirmed by the Missouri Senate.
