Missouri State of the State Address

(Jefferson City, MO) Missourians are looking toward the future  after Governor Mike Parson's State of the State address Wednesday. Parson told the crowd the state has made many advancements one of which was the largest tax cut in the state's history.

Parson also said Missouri's priorities in the coming year will continue to include workforce development and education, infrastructure improvements, government reform, health and mental care improvements, and strides in public safety. During his speech Parson expressed his continued support for Missouri's law enforcement officers. He also highlighted the success of the Missouri Blue Scholarship, which, so far, has awarded scholarships to 147 individuals to attend law enforcement training academies in Missouri. This year, Governor Parson also proposed $50 million for school safety grants for Missouri schools to make physical security investments on their campuses, develop safety plans, establish school resource officer programs, and increase active threat training.
