No Development of Rice Road

(Farmington, MO) The development of Rice Road in Desloge will not happen as was earlier planned. The change of plans was announced at Tuesday's St. Francois County Commissioner meeting. The residing Commissioner of the county, Harold Gallaher, says residents were not happy when they discovered the road was going to be extended.

In other business at Tuesday's St. Francois County Commission meeting a switch from the Polycom system, used for remote court proceedings by the county, to a new program called Webex was approved. The Polycom system is out of date and not supported. Commissioners also approved the solicitation of bids for new inmate management software for the county jail. It was also reported the county sales is up again at 11.12%.
