Organizations Help Other Groups

(St. Francois County, MO) A few of the service organizations in St. Francois County have declined their awarded funds from the United Way of St. Francois County so that money can help other groups. Clay Whitener is the Executive Director of the St. Francois County United Way. He says when they announced the amount of revenue to be awarded he was surprised to see some groups donate those funds back to other service organizations who need it more.

According to Whitener the United Way of St. Francois County was able to award $130,000 this year.
