Perryville Man Killed in Crash

(Perry County, MO) A man from Perryville, 25 year old Sloan A. Hunter, is dead after he was killed in a traffic accident involving a semi truck. Highway Patrol reports show Hunter was driving a pick up south on Highway 51, just north of the Perry County line, at almost 1:30 Wednesday morning. 63 year old Almeda F. Eaves was driving the semi truck north on 51. Hunter lost control of the truck and it went over the centerline striking the semi head on. Eaves was seriously injured and was flown to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Hunter was not wearing a seat belt when the wreck occurred while Eaves was wearing hers.
