(Farmington, MO) Building improvements for St. Francois County's Road and Bridge Department are a step closer to reality after bids were approved for the work st Tuesday's St. Francois County Commission meeting. The Presiding Commissioner of the county, Harold Gallaher, says several improvements are needed and they'll be taken care of with the work.
The work for the Road and Bridge building is estimated to be around $750,000. In other business Commissioners approved the request to bid wiring projects as a part of the jail improvements plan. This includes new cameras and phones. Additional permission was given to seek sealed bids for roof replacement and other outside building work at the jail. The monies involved with the projects come from the ARPA or American Rescue Plan Act COVID relief effort.
