Smith Gathers Health Care Information

(Fredericktown, MO) Missouri United States Eighth District Congressman, Jason Smith, is holding listening posts to gather information on the problems faced by rural health care givers and how to solve them. Smith, who visited Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown Monday, says rural hospitals have not been getting the funding they need and they face an uphill battle in simply getting access to health care.

Smith, who is Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, also held roundtable discussions at in Ste. Genevieve, Crystal City, and Cape Girardeau to talk about health issues. According to Smith he'll use the information he collects when putting together new legislation.
