St. Francois County Accident

(St. Francois County, MO) A woman from Poplar Bluff, 39 year old Jessica Powers, is in serious medical condition after being injured in a two vehicle accident in St. Francois County Thursday morning at 10:35. Reports from Troopers with the Highway Patrol show a vehicle driven north on Highway 67, north of Route DD, by Powers, blew the front right tire and ran off the road to the right. A vehicle driven north by 38 year old Danielle R. Davis, of Fredericktown, attempted to avoid Powers' vehicle instead the two vehicles collided. The impact caused both to run off the left side of the highway. Davis's vehicle crashed into the median cable barrier. Powers was flown to Mercy Hospital South at St. Louis while Davis, who received minor injuries, was taken to Parkland Hospital in Farmington. Both Powers and Davis were wearing their seatbelts when the accident took place.
