Ste. Genevieve County Crash

(Ste. Genevieve County, MO) A man from Ste. Genevieve, 29 year old Ryan E. Mattison, is recovering from serious injuries after he was involved in a traffic crash in Ste. Genevieve County Thursday morning just before 8:15. Reports from the Highway Patrol show Mattison was driving a car south on Highway 61, near Market Street, as a diesel truck, driven north by 27 year old Chase M. Asmus of Benton, Missouri, was in the process of turning. Mattison's vehicle struck the rear of the trailer being pulled by Asmus's truck. Mattison, was not wearing a seat belt during the crash. He was flown to St. Louis University Hospital. Asmus was not injured.
