(St. Francois County, MO) More information is coming in from authorities concerning details about Sunday's Tornados that struck St. FRancois, Madison, and Ste. Genevieve counties. Meteorologists with the National Weather Service have survey teams on site and they are still assessing the damage. They says they believe there were as many as four tornados with two confirmed so far. The confirmed twisters took place in Fredericktown, it was an EF3, and another at St. Mary which coming in with a strength of EF2. St. Francois County officials have updated information in regards to the amount of homes that were effected in the county. The revised list shows 4 homes were totally destroyed, 4 received major damage, and 10 minor damage. As of earlier today there was still a main electrical transmission line down in the area of Possum Hollow Road, one of the hardest hit areas in St. Francois County. Officials say they are amazed and thankful that with all the damage inflicted, in three counties, in the Parkland there were no fatalities and no serious injuries because of the tornados.
