Woman Hospitalized Following Jefferson County Wreck

(Jefferson County, MO) A weekend crash in Jefferson County leaves one woman hospitalized. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, it happened Saturday afternoon just after 2 o'clock on I-55 near mile marker 168. That's where 22 year old Alyssa Sanchez of Bloomsdale was headed south, when she went off the left side of the road, overcorrected, then went off the right side of the road and hit a rock bluff. She was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South. Sanchez was wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident.
