Body of Missing Woman Found

(Washington County, MO) Investigators with the Mineral Area Major Case Sqaud say they have found the body of Donna Janine Eye, the rural Potosi woman who was reported missing January 11th. A press release from Sgt. Greg Adams, the commander of the Major Case Squad, indicates on Wednesday they executed a search warrant on a farm located in the 10,000 block of Shirley School Road, near Potosi in Washinton County, pursuant to the missing persons investigation into the disappearance of Eye. During the search, law enforcement personnel were approached by a citizen who advised they had discovered the body of a deceased female on an adjoining property. The body has been positively identified as Donna Janine Eye by family members. An autopsy will be performed Friday. The investigation continues and Detectives with the Major Case Squad ask that anyone with additional information, that would assist investigators, contact the Washington County 911 Center at 573-438-1079.
