Bonne Terre Man Facing Charges

(Crystal City, MO) A man from Bonne Terre, 32 year old Sheldon Reynolds, has a preliminary hearing in Jefferson County court January 15th after being charged with first degree rape and armed criminal action. Reynolds is accused of raping and stabbing a woman last month. According to reports the incident happened in Crystal City December 16th at a residence on Airport Road. The woman is alleged to have told police Reynolds offered her as much as $450 to perform a sexual act. She also told police when she met Reynolds he attacked her with a pair of scissors, threatened to kill her, and raped her before telling her to leave the residence. Reynolds was taken into custody and taken to the Jefferson County jail.
