Further Charges in Kidnapping Case

(Ironton, MO) There are more charges coming out of Iron County in connection to a kidnapping case involving Iron County Sheriff Jeff Burkett, former Deputies Chase Bresnahan and Matt Cozad and Iron County Resident Donald "Rick" Gaston. It's alleged the men were involved in a scheme in February to kidnap Gaston's children from their mother, following a domestic dispute. Three additional felony charges of tampering with a judicial officer and three new misdemeanors of second degree stalking have been leveled against Burkett and Bresnahan after allegedly harassing and intimidating a judicial officer. According to the Casenet website Burkett's wife Trudi was arrested last week and charged with tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution in connection to the case. The three are set for arraignment on the charges November 28th.
