Highway Patrol New Years Eve

(St. Francois County, MO) The Missouri Highway Patrol is ramping up efforts to keep you safe on the roads this New Years' Eve. Corporal Juston Wheetley says that while sobriety check points have been used in the past, saturations have proven to be more effective now that more people are on social media.

Wheetley went on to say that as long as the number of impaired drivers increases on New Years Eve, extra troopers will be on the road. According to Wheetley there was one fatality in the Troop C area over the Christmas Holiday.
