Hughes in Court on Weapons Charges

(Washington County, MO) 53 year old Dennis Hughes will make an appearance in Washington County Court February 23rd of 2021. According to the case.net website Hughes is charged with unlawful use of a weapon, harassment in the 1st degree, armed criminal action, and unlawful possession of a firearm after allegedly firing shots at tenants of a residence he owns on T highway in Washington County. Reports show Hughes is said to have contacted the Washington County sSheriff's office several times about evicting a woman and a man who were staying at the property. Deputies had been dispatched to the area the evening of November 21st after shots were reported to have been fired. The weapon Hughes allegedly used was eventually located and he was taken into custody. Hughes is said to have admitted to firing the shots. He has a criminal history showing charges of first and second degree assault, and other weapons charges. Hughes was booked into the Washington County Jail with a $30,000 bond.
