Madison County Pick Up Wreck

(Marquand, MO) A woman from Marquand is suffering serious injuries after she was in a one vehicle accident Christmas night at 11:35 in Madison County. Reports from the Highway Patrol indicate 51 year old Betty S. Green, was a passenger in a pick up driven north last Friday on Route M, 4 miles south of Marquand, by 50 year old Dale L. Green, when he lost control of the truck and it ran off the right side of the road. Green overcorrected and the truck rolled over throwing Betty Green out. She was not wearing a seat belt when the accident occurred. Betty Green was flown to Mercy Hospital South at St. Louis. Dale Green, who was also not wearing a seat belt, was not injured.
