(St. Louis, MO) Meteorologists with the National Weather Service say a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for many areas of Missouri and also west central Illinois with a wind advisory also in effect. Locally the wind advisory is set to end at 6 o'clock Saturday morning. This covers portions of central, east central, northeast, and southeast Missouri as well as south central, southwest, and west central Illinois. A Wind Chill Warning is in effect for northeastern Missouri late tonight, as wind chills initially fall to dangerous levels. Wind chills are expected Saturday night through Tuesday morning across the entire area with the lowest values across central and northeastern Missouri as well as west central Illinois. Light accumulating snow is likely Sunday evening into Monday morning across southeastern Missouri and southwestern Illinois. West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 to 50 mph expected.
