St. Francois County Mask Order Expires

(Park HIlls, MO) The mask order for St. Francois County is no longer in effect. Members of the St. Francois County Health Center Board of Directors didn't vote on the issue during their monthly meeting Thursday afternoon. The Chairperson for the board, John Poston, says board members were disappointed with the results of surveys checking on the effectiveness of the mask mandate. 

Poston adds he feels the public needs to be sure to understand the importance of mask wearing and be educated in ways to fight the coronavirus and slow the spread of the disease. The mask order was instituted last month amidst criticism which including a petition to have the order rescinded and a possible lawsuit that never came about.
